Rental Rates are going up, Up, UP in Long Beach … You might as well BUY!
Rents are going up Up UP!
Per City News Service / Patch.com :
Apartment-dwellers in Los Angeles and Orange County can look forward to triple-digit increases in their rent over the next two years, thanks to growing demand and low vacancy rates, according to a USC report released today.
According to the study prepared by Beacon Economics for the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate, average rents are expected to jump over 2015 levels by $109 in Los Angeles County and $149 in Orange County by 2018. In the Inland Empire, average rents are expected to jump by just $84, but in San Diego County, renters can expect a $155 hike.
The rent hikes and continued high demand are in spite of more than 38,000 new apartments being planned across the four areas, according to the 2016 USC Casden Multifamily Forecast.
How much longer can you afford to pay RENT?

The Fifth Annual Latin American Festival returns to Downtown Long Beach on Saturday, September 7, in a new location. Co-produced by the Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) and Vice Mayor Robert Garcia, the event will take place on Historic Old Pine Avenue at 7th Street from 5pm – 10pm.
The evening’s festivities will include live performances from acclaimed bands La Santa Cecilia and Raul Pacheco Y Los Dragones de Cumbia. La Santa Cecilia is a Los Angeles based music group that has performed with music legends like Elvis Costello and is known for their modern hybrid of Latin rhythms and rock and roll. Raul Pacheco Y Los Dragones de Cumbia was formed by Ozomatli front man Raul Pacheco and is known for its lively and danceable Cumbia sound.
Numerous vendors selling hand-made clothing and original artwork, a beer and margarita bar provided by Agave’s, interactive opportunities, health & wellness information and authentic Latin Cuisine will also be featured at the event. Live music and dance performances will take place throughout the night on two stages and a children’s activity area will feature a variety of activities geared to younger guests. The Arts Council for Long Beach will provide piñata making and dance classes in the A Lot, located on the west side of Pine Avenue, just south of 7th Street.
