When I was looking for a real estate agent, efficiency was key. I wanted to work with someone who would work around my schedule (no easy feat), who was quick, to the point, with no time for BS. After speaking to a few other agents, I came across Ricardo The Realtor. Ricardo quickly exceeded my expectations.

My schedule was such that the only time I could look for properties was late after work, at some unholy hour. In spite of that, Ricardo was there for me, walking me through houses, chipper and happy, as if he had nothing bettear late in the evenings.

With more then decade of experience, he knows his stuff and is well connected in the long beach community (and beyond) and uses those relationships to help problem solve a situation. We had a tricky time trying to navigate through the world of the FHA renovation loan to finance the purchase but after a few phone calls the mystique of the scary loan wore off and the financing worked out perfectly.

Ricardo is a smart negotiator and his advice during this negotiating phase was invaluable and after we talked, he always made me feel better about whatever decision I was about to make. He was always so down to earth, and fun as well. I’d recommend him to anyone I knew who was looking to buy or sell a home.

The 81st Annual Great Sand Sculpture Contest brings together families, community and artists to celebrate in one of the most defining elements of our community: our local beach! Inspired by the event’s theme, “Sculpting Literacy in Your Community” community and professional teams will be challenged to sculpt their story of our great community and inspire promoting literacy in Long Beach.

The Great Sand Sculpture Competition is held at the Granada Ave portion of Belmont Shore, Long Beach. This is another great event that happens in Long Beach. There are professional sand castle / sculptors here along with people that like to play in the sand come out and enjoy the great weather we have in Long Beach.

My favorite sculpture was Mr. Kool-Aid himself…

The Great Sand Sculpture contest is brought to you on behalf of Rotaract Long Beach, The Long Beach Sea Festival, and Alfredo’s Beach Shack. The event is a hosted as part of the summer event series managed Long Beach city’s Sea Festival organization. This event is made possible due to the contributions of our sponsors: Kool-Aid, the Port of Long Beach, the Long Beach Sea Festival, and the Arts Council of Long Beach.

Sculptures entering the competition will be judged on uniqueness, difficulty and how well they fit the theme. Sign up in advance as an event team or event sponsor. SAVE THE DATE on your calendar and come enjoy exciting and colorful attractions such as arts and crafts, vendors, live music, food and a fenced-off kid zone supervised by event staff.

All proceeds from the Great Sand Sculpture Contest will be donated to promoting childhood and adult literacy in our community through the Long Beach Public Library Foundation

Belmont Shore is located on the South East portion of Long Beach, CA. This beach community has so much to offer its residents. For all of you dog lovers there is your own “Rosie’s Dog Beach”, bike & running boardwalk, restaurants, shopping on 2nd Street. This is a walk/bike community where everything is so close that you might forget that you own a car. Great schools, public library and fantastic neighbors.
